European ESA meetings 2000

The European Meetings of the ESA will be organized by CREED in Amsterdam, October 18-21, 2000. The sessions will start on the morning of October 19 and end around 1 p.m. on October 21. There will be a welcoming reception on the night of October 18.

Hotel reservations

Participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. We have negotiated special conference rates for a varying number of rooms at nine different hotels. To make use of these rates, participants must contact the hotel directly. The rooms will be located on a first come, first serve basis. To make a reservation at the conference rate, please mention the name "ESA/University of Amsterdam" under which we have made the group reservations. If you don't, you will not get the conference rate. If you do not make your reservations before the stated reservation deadline you will be charged regular room rates if there is still availability.

Besides our short descriptions (regarding the number of rooms, the rates and the method of making your reservation), these web sites (when available) will give you a better overview of the hotel and its surroundings and facilities.

Public transportation in the Netherlands is excellent. You can take a tram, bus or subway to get anywhere quickly.

The Dutch currency is the guilder, usually denoted by DFL or fl. The exchange rate with the euro is euro 1,- = Dfl. 2,21.
