    The NBER General Equilibrium Conference  will be held in New York City (at New York University) during the days of April 29-30 (more information to be posted on our Web Page at a later date).

    The program will consist of solicited and submitted papers on all areas of general equilibrium theory with special emphasis on macroeconomic and finance theory applications.

The program will be announced shortly thereafter. I also welcome
recommendations of papers to consider, especially from younger scholars who might not be on the mailing list.
 
We will provide complimentary coffee and tea for the morning and afternoon breaks on both Saturday and Sunday for all participants. There will be a conference dinner on Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. at the Gubbio Italian Restaurant.

Conference Location:

Directions: NYU is located in Greenwich Village (lower Manhattan) and is located west of Broadway and east of 6th Avenue. Goddard Hall is a small residence hall that contains classroom/conference space on its lower levels. Goddard Hall is located on the South East corner of Washington Square Park. If you are taking a taxi, give the driver the actual address of the Hall and tell the driver that the cross streets are West 4th Street and Washington Square Park East. There are two entrances to the conference room area in Goddard Hall. You can either:

1. Enter through the main residence hall entrance which is located at 79 Washington Square East, check-in with the residence hall security guard and follow the signs with arrows to the conference room.... or

2. Enter the building through what looks like the main entrance for the Violet Cafe on the North side of West 4th Street. You will only be able to access the vestibule area of the cafe entrance and will immediately turn to your right and go through a door leading to a stairwell to the lower level of the building. This route will also be posted with conference signs with arrows. At the bottom of the stairs you will find the conference room on your left as well as out student conference assistant, Adaline.

If you have difficulty locating the hall and are at your wits end, see if you can locate NYU's Protection Services at 10 Washington Place between Greene Street and Mercer Street.
