Social Interactions.  The following paper studies static and dynamic economies where agents interact socially, that is where interactions are un-mediated through markets. Nonetheless agents are fully rational.

Rational Expectations Equilibria of Economies with Local Interactions (with U. Horst, and O. Ozgur) forthcoming in   Journal of Economic Theory, 2005.

Cultural Transmission. The following papers study an economic  model of   cultural transmission. Differently  from the cultural transmission models in sociology (e.g., Coleman), anthropology (e.g., Boyd-Richerson), and biology (e.g., Cavalli Sforza-Feldman), socialization  is modeled as a choice of  (paternalistically) altruistic parents.  Socialization  choices  of   parents take different forms, from time spent with children to school choice.
